Settings

Basic Settings

 Disable Foundation CSS

Selecting “Yes” will disable the use of the Foundation CSS by Simple Directory.  This is probably not something you should do.

This site uses the “Categories Images Plugin”

Previous versions of Simple Directory required the use of a third-party plugin in order to add images to category pages.  This is no longer the case as of version 2.  If you have upgraded from a previous version that previously required Categories Images then select yes.

Disable The Built-In Templates?

By selecting all or any of these, you will disable the built-in templates for search, listing and category pages.  WordPress will then look for them in the root directory of your theme, or fall back to the regular templates for the page type.

Postal Address Format

By default, Simple Directory displays addressess using the UK/North American standard:

  Street Address
  City, State or Province
  ZIP or Postal Code

However, you can choose to have the address displayed using the format used by most European countries and China:

  Street Address
  Postal Code
  City, Province or State

Enable Comments

Keeping this set to “Yes” will allow visitors to your site to post comments on individual listings.

Enable Visual Composer Compatibility

If your site uses WP Bakery Page Builder (formerly Visual Composer) or UberMenu, you may need to enable this in order to resolve some layout conflicts.

Depricated Settings

Custom CSS

If you need to customize the CSS of your site to adjust the style of the directory, your should use the “Additional CSS” option built in to the WordPress Customizer.

This option is still available in settings to ensure backward compatibility for users of previous versions of Simple Directory.
